About us
Work in Progress is part of the Advance Group. We were originally established in 2001 as a joint venture with national charity Carr-Gomm, Work in Progress then became a wholly owned subsidiary of Advance in 2006.
Work in Progress is a voluntary organisation, which seeks to create real employment opportunities for people with disabilities; in particular, people who have experienced mental health problems.
Work in Progress achieved this by successfully providing job brokerage services across the Midlands and parts of the South under the New Deal for Disabled People (NDDP) until 2008.
We now achieve this by running Pathways to Work programmes in Staffordshire and Berkshire, a mentoring service in Berkshire and in Leicestershire we run a nextstep advice service.
